This year, high school doesn’t really feel like school; it feels like a place to have fun – socializing and learning. My day goes by smoothly. I take the bus to culinary arts in the morning in another town and get to cook for two hours. While there, I meet people like me, people with their eccentricities, social awkwardness, and just plain awesomeness. There, I actually feel like I belong. I’ve never been popular in normal school… But in the vocational school, I’m actually judged on my talents. My talents will help me become a great chef, so say my colleagues. We’re not just colleagues. All of us are a big (although somewhat dysfunctional) family. Each and every one of my family members means a great deal to me.
